Diamond for the most demanding applications
Aria Labs grows single-crystal diamond and finishes it into precision components: diamond windows and plates for optical and electronic uses, and metallized submounts for high-power thermal management.
Why diamond?
Single-crystal diamond conducts heat at roughly 2000 W/m·K — around five times copper and more than ten times aluminium nitride.
Diamond's low thermal expansion also puts less strain on the die attach through power cycling than a copper-based spreader does, leading to longer device lifetimes.
Diamond outperforms other thermal materials
The higher the conductivity, the wider the spreading area, and the lower the temperature. The gain is not automatic. Bulk conductivity is only part of the equation — which is why we optimize our metallization in house.
Diamond is also an excellent insulator with low dielectric constant and low RF loss. It goes directly under the die without an intervening insulating layer.

Diamond Plates and Windows
Optically polished single-crystal diamond windows and plates, transparent from the UV through the far-IR and able to carry high optical power without the thermal lensing that limits conventional window materials.

Metallized Diamond Submounts
Metallized single-crystal diamond submounts that spread heat laterally away from the die before it reaches the package, dropping junction temperature in laser diodes, QCLs, and RF power devices and helping to extend device lifetimes.
